Mena Xiong Vue (Mrs. Vakou Vue), Secretary

Mena is currently an Auditor in the sector of asset & wealth management for a private corporate firm Ameriprise Financial in downtown Minneapolis. She has over 19+ years in the finance industry. Her previous roles included are Senior Financial Analyst supporting global-investments in fixed-income & equity portfolios, analytical support for cash liquidity, risk management, and forecasting. She has also held various roles in Corporate Treasury, Trust Retirement Services, and Investment Accounting.
Mena holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Metropolitan State University (2004), a member of the Association for Financial Professionals (AFP), & also a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).
She has chaired the steering committee for a corporate-wide company-driven employee network for Asian-Americans by designing & implementing professional development, awareness-building, and community outreach. In addition, Mena has had the opportunity to coach & administer youth gymnastics program in the Minneapolis-area NW suburbs for community recreation programs & private gymnastics club.
Mena is first-generation Hmong-American; she grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada. In 1994, her family moved back to the Minneapolis/St. Paul area in Minnesota to reconnect with their extended families & Hmong roots.
Mena & her husband, Vakou have been married since 1996 & they currently reside in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. Her husband, Vakou is an active leader in their extended Vue family community. They have 5 children; two boys & three girls. Their children are active in various sports & extracurricular activities, and are active volunteers for several programs in their local community. During the summers, their kids help manage their grandparent’s farmers market booth.
Mena enjoys hospitality operations & is a fan of cooking shows. Her family enjoys traveling, going to the library, & parks together.
