Celina Vang Vue (Mrs. Nom Tsas Vue), PharmD. Vice President

Celina Vang Vue, PharmD is currently a pharmacist at McLaren Greater Lansing Hospital in Lansing, MI. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2004 from the University of Michigan-College of Pharmacy. As a pharmacist, she is responsible for the safe and effective use of medications, providing drug information for other healthcare professionals, educating patients how to take their medications, and making clinical interventions and recommendations concerning appropriate drug therapy. She has also participated in a diabetic teaching class, where she teaches a group of patients how to use their high blood sugar medications. She helps mentor pharmacy students as well as providing job shadowing opportunities for high school/college students who are interested in pharmacy.
Aside from her profession as a pharmacist, Celina enjoys contributing and involvement in her community. One of Celina’s early community project involvement is the Ingham County Health Department 2009 H1N1 Mass Vaccination Clinics, where she spent a great amount of time volunteering to help vaccinate individuals during the 2009 H1N1 flu pandemic. She is also involved with the U of M Club of Lansing, where she has assists at their annual Kickoff Picnic to meet/greet parents and share college experiences with freshmen college students who will be attending the University of Michigan. Celina was also actively involved with Hmong Family Association of Lansing, MI from 2009-2012. She was on the Health Advisory Board, held fundraising activities for the annual community picnic and the New Year celebration, and emcee’s for events/parties. Another one of Celina’s community service is at the Mid-Michigan Women’s Expo—where she volunteered with McLaren Greater Lansing to provide free health screening to individuals. Celina was chairman of the VNA Women Committee from 2014-2016. She was the Election Committee Chairman for the 2016 VNA presidential election. She is treasurer for the United Hmong Women of Michigan from 2015-present. She also helps organized the Vue Family of Michigan educational funds to promote higher education. Celina is a member of the University of Michigan Alumni, U of M Club of Lansing, Hmong Family Association of Lansing, MI, and United Hmong Women of Michigan.
Celina married Nao Cha Vue in 1997 and they have four boys, Thomas, Eric, Vissed, and Marcus. Her husband is an aviation mechanic working at Duncan Aviation – Battle Creek, MI. Celina and her family is currently residing in Potterville, Michigan. Besides working full-time, raising their four boys, and her volunteer works, Celina enjoys spending her time with her family and friends, swimming, reading, gardening, traveling, and the great outdoors.
One of Celina’s future aspirations is to travel abroad and do some volunteer work projects.
